Hello,

I want to ask my GP for blood test to address my depression and chronic fatigue. What are the most common blood tests/deviancies to take that could address the reason for depression/chronic fatigue and rule out serious health issues?

I know that under or overactive thyroid and vitamin D3 deficiency could cause depression/fatigue and could be screened trough a blood test, but what more?

I have just asked my dr for these tests and been told they do not run them routinely, i have been ill with depression for three years and I think something physical is the cause as all anti depressants havent helped.  Can I get these tests done privately or what?

Iron, Magnesium or selenium deficiency are worth checking too.
