Motion sickness and Vertigo after driving

Hi I've suffered from Vertigo on and off for the last 6 yrs or so but for the last 18 months its been activated by driving my partner's car. I sold my car and i have noticed even if i am the passenger or driver in his car, the day after i am terrible. Even short journeys of a mile seems to upset me. I feel sickly and dizzy so can't drive for a few days and have to take my tablets. Has anyone had this problem at all. I am a 69 yr old.
