Mould sensitivity

Posted , 4 users are following.

Part of my illness is having an acute reaction to mould spores, specifically mould that grows on wood. My immune system reacts to even the smallest amount and as a first line of defence, my body seems to have developed the ability to smell mould the moment I walk into a building.  The smell comes first, then the itchy scalp and then the intense headaches. Does anyone else experience this?

A friend of mine who developed cfs a few wks after having a minor op

to remove tonsils, such ops seem to be one of the reasons your immune system

is vulnerable, his sense of smell changed completely, that he could not go anywhere

near detergents, cosmetics, petrol, without feeling ill, many airports have duty free

cosmetic counters you have to walk through to get to departure gates,

he used to run through such areas,

so your symptoms  don't sound unreasonable, if your immune system seems low

    request a vitamin D printout,

(this is invaluable for babies & children if their

immune system is low, which can be detected with a FULL blood screen test

to determine amount of vit, D required) sunlight is has no vit D benefits from

    sept-to-may

How did you find out that your body is reacting to mold? Is there a test or can you just tell? I'm interested because I often wonder if I have a sensitivity to mold.
