Yes that happened to me two times when I was on antibiotics; you may have thrush. If you have been on antibiotics and your tongue is coated with whitish:yellowish color you may need to get a prescription to treat it.

    Hope this helps!

I concur that it may be thrush. Flucanazole (if i spelled it correctly) was what i was perscribed for that. Thete is slso an oral rinse called Nysyatin. If you eat things and they are burning your tongue as if they are spicy that is an indicator you may have thrush or candida infection.

I am not sure if this is the case though, but depending on what types of medications you are on, that may be giving you that test. Some of my medications just leave a bad taste in my mouth all day long. Listerine strips for the breath and gum help. I also noticed if I eat small portions throughout the day I do not get that taste. I hope this helps. I was also told iron deficiency can contributeEspecially if you are also experiencing cracking and or dryness in the corners of your mouth. I hope this helps. Also, I just remembered, rinsing my mouth out with antiseptic mouthwash frequently throughout the day also helps.
