thank you! i was beginning to think it was just me!

im finding the virus seems to sometimes target weaker areas if my body that say have had an injury many years ago. as an example i have a small scar on my hand which is probably 20 years old now which started hurting as much as the day i did it! i also have a filling in a tooth which just started hurting.

i dont know if anyone else is finding this, i just thought it strange

    Hi Ashley,

It is nice to see a post from you and sorry to hear you've been having these issues with sensitive gums and toothache and the metallic taste in your mouth. This virus is so horrible it can cause so many weird and strange symptoms, I really hope this all settles down. soon and that you are making progress with things, even if it is at a gradual pace.

It's hard for me to remember exactly if I had symptoms like this as it would such a long time ago, but I was bothered with so many things at different times in the virus it certainly is possible. And with EBV being a herpes virus, which can also cause cold sores and things, it definitely can be common I think for gums and mouth to be affected and have symptoms.

Sometimes even just small things like using a stronger fluoride toothpaste and making sure brushing right over the gums as well as teeth can really help and using mouth wash daily also. One herb I found helpful for mouth / throat issues has been oregano, maybe getting some oregano tablets to try could be helpful, but I'm sure there will be other herbal supplements that can help these things too.

Hoping you are feeling much better soon and hang in there Ashley - you will get through this and get back to full health again, and do keep in touch and let us know how you are doing over the next while.

    Craig
