Hi I was and still am on standard rate pip care no mobility.i put a review award in April. Git asks to go on a face 2face assesment.i could not do this as I cannot cope with this again.my gp gave a letter which I sent to pip stating I have been depressed for years alcoholic and self harm and fear of going out past 2 years.and will kill myself if I go on another f2f .they now are doing paper assesment on it.is this a good thing I also had orcidectomy operation and hernia repair last month.can I get mobility.

    Hi,

    A paper based assessment doesn't mean anything, it just means no face 2 face is needed. It doesn't mean you'll be awarded because you can still be refused without a face 2 face for PIP. Hopefully for you this doesn't happen.

    Once the report has been returned to DWP you can ask for a copy to be sent to you, this will give you some idea what the decision will be as they mostly go with the report. Good luck.
