There really isn't a time frame for this and it depends what area, how much back log of MR's they have.

Hi Abigail I sent mine in two weeks ago but rang yesterday to ask if it was too late to send new evidence in she said it had only gone on the computer 3 days ago and couldn't give a time frame 😏 good luck x

It can take a while.  I have done several reconsideration letters for people and on average the wait time is 8-10 weeks.  I am in the North West and the wait time can be longer in some areas if there is a backlog.

Can anyone advise me that while the m.r is going on can I still keep my car or will they stop payments . Thank you

No you're car will have to be returned. DWP will advice motability that you no longer claim Enhanced mobility. Motability will write to you telling you a date to return your car.

I believe it's about 6 weeks to have to return it.

Thank you. Going to try to raise the money to buy it. I wanted to buy it next year but I will struggle this year. Once I know a date I can get a price x

Does anyone know if you have asked for the mobility part of your claim to be reviewed do your payments for standard rate continue? Thanks

That would only happen if you were awarded standard. If the points you are awarded are less than 8 then this isn't enough for standard. Therefore no award would be given. There would be no award for money to be given.

If you've been awarded standard, then went for the MR then yes payments would be for Standard whilst waiting for MR.
