I have delwvloped for 2 months abdominal pain left side of my stomach next to belly button sharp knifey pain only time eases off when I go sleep. I've had bloods done urine chest all clear. Nothing showed up on the mri on that side. I am still worried that it maybe something but my gastrointestinal specialist said it can't be new symptoms of chrones as left side showed clear when I had colonoscopy in October and mri showed xlear. I've been told it's muscular pain.

    Hi,

I think it sounds right that it may be referred pain from your right side Chrones. Can I ask what your symptoms were to be given the diagnosis in the first place simply because that it what I believe I have but because I cannot tolerate a colonoscopy my gastroenterologist has referred me back to my GP after my MRI scan came back clear of anything. I've been having right side pain (only reprieve is when I sleep) since May 2016 and have had 2 ultrasound scans and an MRI which are all clear but gastro guy was fixated on it being my gallbladder. Inam so angry as my GP hasn't blood tested me for the basics such as inflammatory bowel disorders or coeliac etc. Feeling so frustrated! I have intermittent bloating, I'm constipated due to pain releif for arthritis, and sometimes my intestines feel as though they are going to herniate in my mid right abdomen. I'm a 42yr old, 7st12 healthy female whose life this is dominating. I urge you to keep on at your doctor to get some answers if your symptoms don't improve x

I've got chrones on right side and last 2 months have has crazy pain on left side of stomach near belly button I've had xray mri urine and bloods done all clear. I'm on steroids for chrones short-term them new drug Lng term pain is still there left side not as bad as before doc said most likely spasm pain etc as spoke to my gastrointestinal specialist and he's examined me. No issues with toilet etc. Had colonoscopy done in October 2016 as showed left side clear. It seems like the right said of chrones is having an impact on the left side even though no inflammation on left side
