MRI results, I don't understand how bad they are...any help please?

There is a Hill-Sachs deformity of the humeral head.

I cannot see a definite labral tear.

Some images degraded by movement artefact.

In addition there may well be a partial thickness articular surface tear of the

supraspinatus tendon.

There is a small ganglion cyst just above the tendon.

I don't have an answer for you but I'm hoping by now you have seen your doctor. Good luck.

Did you dislocate your shoulder?  Did you review these results with your doctor?  If not, please call the doctor's office for an explanation.  Ask questions.  Hang in there and good luck.  Post an update when you are able.

Thanks scrapbooker and hanpen for your answers. Yes, I experienced many dislocations, the last (very bad one) while I was sleeping!

Yes, I spoke with the surgeon that would do the op here in London not before 3/5 monthsconfused. He would reconstruct the broken capsule in atroscopy and he gave me 70% possibility to fix it in this way.

It is very difficult to have a proper explanation. What broke first? Why 30% possibility of failure?

From the quick explanation I had from my surgeon the capsule broke first and then the omerus broke as well during my multiple dislocations. The omerus head deformity apperently it's not important and won't be taken care of during the surgery. He didn't mention the cystis.

Tomorrow I will fly to my country and I will see another surgeon and hopefully will be able to understand everything better.

I can't believe I will have to wait for so long! I really hope to have in Italy one chance to have the op done before 5 months!

      Thank you,

      Flavia
