Hi have had a call from physio specialist today and he said that there was nothing remarkable with the results. Iv been suffering all this year with really bad lower back pain have all the sciatica symptoms, pins and needles, cramps, burning, numbness in my foot especially big toe, have been on mst for over 3 months along with tramadol amitriptyline naproxen everyday! Cant walk have been using a stick for months and have now got a wheelchair. And then today he tells me this? He and 2 other professionals have all told me it was a bulging disc and I would need an op he did say he wanted someone else to look over results and get back to me, but surely if he cant see a problem nobody else will? Im so desperate fo help and some decent pain reliefe! sorry to ramble on but I feel like my lifes just about pain all comments greatly recieved xx

Ask if spinal injections could be used for pain management for now and if not, why not.
Ask to be referred to a Neurosurgeon who can undertake the operation using the endoscopic discectomy method, so you have the availability of this more modern, less invasive method if it is suitable for you. It means less cutting of muscles into the spine, less recovery time, less scarring and no general anaesthetic.
