MRI RESULTS PLEASE HELP WITH UNDERSTANDING THEM

MRI results are saying as follows

Got my MRI results back hoping someone can explain them to me.

GENERAL FEATURES movement artefact. Minimal multilevel degenerative changes with bulging of the discs and small marginal osteophytes on the end plates.

L2/L3 and L3/L4 the bulging is impinging upon the anterior aspect of the thecal sac without significant spinal canal stenosis.

    Hi,

    You have a great source for those explanations--Google.  Just google the phrase  in the search bar and the information should pop up.  That's what I did with my MRI and also my CT scan.. Really helped me to understand what I was dealing with.

    Also, if your health provider has a ;portal, you can go on that and ask yor physician directions by ttyping in a message.

    It basically sounds like you have a little wear and tear or age related to degenerative disk space which is extremely normal for the majority of people. Basically the disc space somewhat gets dehydrated in between the vertabreas. The bulging disc is a result of a couple different things, car accidents, improper body mechanics, unhealthy living habits and age or trauma to the spine. The artifact discussed in the report, indicates there may be some type of metal usually hardware that will distort the way the Soundwaves and magnetic field that produces the MRI image. An osteohite is a bone spur that forms which is not necessarily the causes of the pain. I have them as well. A disc bulge is not as harsh as the herniation of a disc. I'm sending more, give me a min

      Hi I had a 2nd MRI done and these were the findings they seem different to me ?

      GENERAL FEATURES

      Early disc dehydration at L2 - L4 mild multilevel Facet joint hypertrophy causing moderate left dominant foraminal stenosis, most marked at L3/L4. Spinal canal capacious. L3/L4: Focal left foraminal disc protrusion filling the inferior aspect of the foramen. In combination with bilateral, left dominant facet joint hypertrophy causing moderate foraminal stenosis. Disc protrusion contacting the extraforaminal left L3 nerve root.

      CONCLUSION

      Mild degenerative changes most marked at L3-L4 here with left dominant foraminal narrowing. Tiny left sided L3-L4 foraminal/extraforaminal disc protrusion in cantact with the extraforaminal left L3 nerve root.
