HI BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH A 5.9 DERMOID CYST AFTER VIRGINAL ULTRA SOUND HAD MY CA125 BLOOD DONE RESULTS WAS 10 BUT AM STILL VERY WORRIED AS I AM 69 YRS OLD AND THEY SAY I HAVE A MUCH HIGHER CHANCE OF IT BEING MALIGINANT AT MY AGE AM SEEING GYNEOCOLOGIST ON FRIDAY

Hi Patricia, I'm 71 and mine was 8 cms, removed last year and nothing to worry about.
we always think the worst but most cysts aren't malignant. Try not to worry.x.

Hi, I'm 51, I was diagnosed with a 10cm dermoid cyst in Feb this year and was referred for a MRI scan. Saw my gynaecologist in April who told me it was partially twisted but they wanted to watch it for 6 months. In that time my notes were handed over to the oncologist. I saw my Gynae oncologist a couple of weeks ago who told me he can't rule out cancer so sent me for another MRI scan which I had last Friday and now have to wait 6 weeks for results but have been given another appointment for in 6 months which I assuming if the cyst shows its grown then I will be called in sooner to have it removed which is definitely the end plan. Just wish they'd just get it out so I can get on with my life as I'm constantly tired and sore with lots of pelvic pressure. It's so frustrating and worrying.
