On January 16, 2020, I slipped on ice and broke (fracture) my ankle (lower fibula) . On that same day in ER they place me in a sugar splint wore it 5 days and never once did I have anything wrong with my foot turning purple when standing, until I met the Orthopedic surgeon which he did a stress test on my ankle to make sure I didnt need surgery. From that point on my foot has been turning purple. When elevated it goes back to almost normal color. I have had two DVT testing two weeks apart being I had flow from wa to texas, both turned out normal. Has anyone had the same experience. If so please share your results.

    wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thank you for your info. I didn’t need to have surgery but hopefully this will heal on its own I’ve never had a problem with swollen feet or purple feet do to circulation problems. I hope this will heal on its own. prayers a appreciated.
