MS?

Hi Guys,
I wonder if I could ask your advice. I'm going to see a private rheumatoligist in a couple of weeks due to arthritic symptoms in my hips. I've always had trouble with them and now are getting more and more painful.
But this has come on rather suddenly in the last month or two starting mild and worsening. But smaller symptoms have started now:
- Tingling, starting in the fingers and moving up my arm. This happened first. Then the next day again, but the arm then becomes cold. Both sides this happens. Then my feet started. Today it was all limbs and went up to my face and neck. The tingling itches. When its happening it feels numb and tight.
For the last few months:
- I'm just exhausted all the time, needing to go to bed, I wake up tired and could sleep most of the day but I don't.
- Obviously due to the arthritis possibility, i'm having muscle pain, joint pain, stiffness.
- My body just feels weak. Most of the time.
- I've had one migrain in my life, but in the last few months I've had about 6.
- Headaches every day almost.
- Random shooting pains in random places.
I know you can't diagnose, and it's easy to use google all day, but theres not much on the beginnings of MS as it's different for everyone.
I'm not a person that freaks out, just likes to know the possibilities. I just feel terrible all the time.
Thanks in advance. x

I get burning shooting pain. My doctor has started pain injections in my head, neck, shoulders and back. They help. The last batch lasted about 2 weeks. I used to be the picture of health. It all started slowly when I was pregnant with my oldest son. My kidneys started acting up. Then about 3 years later my kidneys went crazy again and I had to have lithotripsy done to break up a 8mm stone and a 7 mm stone. It went downhill from there. I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, restless leg syndrome, Gilliam Barre syndrome (which paralyzed me from the waste down) irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue, chronic pain. It's just one thing after another! I feel like I'm drowning in medicine and stress and anxiety!

Hi Heather,
I'm sorry you're having a horrible time with the doctors. I understand about these symptoms being similar in a few different illnesses. That's why I wanted to know as much as I can about ms to make sure they look at that too, instead of diagnosing something that fits a few things and not all. (I know you can't blame everything on ms though too.) I just hope this rheumatologist is good and refers me for a neurology consultation too.
I can see this being the start of a long road though....
Thank you for your reply.
