MS + LS

Hi there, does anyone have MS and LS? Rather a nasty combination but I have been analysing my various ailments and mostly being auto immune problems I am rather sadly coming to this conclusion. I know the dangers of self diagnosis and I am on the doctor's radar but I just wondered if anybody has had this combination confirmed?

Hi Barking..I don't know anyone with the both conditions/combinations..Have you had the lichen confirmed at all? I am a sufferer of lichen sclorosis and lichen planus and have been for a very long time. If you take a look on here there is a whole variety of discussions on LS, you can join in and ask some of the busy ones a few questions. Try not to get too down till you have a definate diagnosis..It is important to have a doctor you can trust and who is approachable on stuff like this..and who will spend the time thinking things through with you..

Thank you for support sky23, sometimes I just don't know which way to turn and it is good to know others are willing to listen. Yes, the LS has been confirmed - I just wonder what all the rest is. Thanks again.

I don't know anyone with those symptoms either, but I do know someone with LS and Ulcerative Colitis -it sems that if you're prone to one auto-immune disease you have a greater chance of more.Life is so unfair.

Hi Barking , I have had LS and Crohns which is also an auto immune disease for a long time. I am also starting to get painful  joints in my fingers so I think my immune system is in a sad state ! I have had part of my bowel removed and the Crohns is just about manageable and the LS just trundles on with fusing and sore patches. My bottom half isn't much fun really !!!

      welcome barking

its really what life is all about isn't it....exchange of warmth in difficult times. i will be rooting for whatever you do healthwise...yours is a tough one...but you'll get there!!

actually as a direct result of your post you've given me the confidence to start one of a similiar nature....LS seems to follow(?) some hefty conditions and i recently developed a low thyroid...then LS...i've had more luck with the LS through natural methods...but am now trying to resolve the low thyroid....i mention this in case you have any words of encouragement!

i'll come back and check on you...!!      xxxxx

Hi Barking - Is your MS confirmed?

My husband was diagnosed when he was 34  and when he was 60+ the consultant wanted to bottle what he had done as he had so few residual problems. He obviously was n the lower end of the spectrum, and it may be coincidental but he woould drink a glass of Evening primrose oil in an emulsion with orange juice for years. He is now mid 70's and his worst problem is irritable leg syndrome - that is unrelated to MS. How is your MS affecting you?

    Tough to have both
