Please provide what works for you in regards to RRMS and managing symptoms for someone newly diagnosed. Have you tried any holistic treatments or cannabis?
How did you decide what to do first?
Please respond if you can provide me with insight. The options for treatment can be quite scary.
Thank you

In regard to holistic treatment, I *highly* recommend following a plant-based diet to help manage MS symptoms. It has given me more energy and helped me maintain an optimal state of health, something that is important when your body is fighting such a serious disease. Lots of veggies, they are fabulous!
I understand that not everything works for everyone, so again do your own research and find and try what you feel/works for you.
Good Luck

I have begun a plant based diet and I'm reading how foods that help with inflammatory are best. Is that the first med that they tried?
Are you having any numbness and tingling?

When i was first diagnosed i read about all the side effects of the medicines i could choose. I have heard of Tysabri, but as a medicine one would use following having at least tried Gilenya or another type.
I can definitely agree, it is confronting to be faced with choosing which side effects you will have (choosing the medicine). That’s how i saw it at least. There were injectable options but i thought it was much easier to have a pill with water.
I was told that Gilenya lowers rate of lesions and progression by 30% (i think it was). So from another point of view one could see that as not very much for so many side effects.
I do experience tingling and momentary numbness from time to time for a few minutes here and there. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that i am having a new lesions, i have learnt. So anxiety management is important and should be looked into. Tingliness that lasts for 24-72 hours may be a different story however.

Ocrevus and Tysabri are injections. I'm looking to start one of them. Thanks for the reminder regarding anxiety. It's definitely important. I've read so much about their side effects and was getting so nervous that I had to make a decision and stop. That PML and liver damage are side effects of alot of the meds.
