"It's 3am...3am...eternal, oh ohho , oh hoho!"..... no? Just me then is it?... 3am eternal by Klf and Tammy Wynette... from 1989 ...
Sorry first thing that came to mind when I looked at clock before beginning this post was that song. Point is what is it about 3 in the morning that seems to see hippies awake? Must be pain killers wearing off or something, promise I haven' just got in from a club... I'm 46 for heaven's sake:D! ... anyway "mornin' !" To all of you lucky people awake at this time. I'm 5 weeks post op Monday, any one know when one might expect a good night's sleep again?..... anyone?:'(.
All the best , Jay.

Really, 3 am is just about when I wake up every morning --- I think lots of us do. Sometimes I can just get a drink of water and get back to sleep but generally takes a pain medication and a good book before I can settle back down. I'm nine weeks post op and its a rare night when I don't awaken. Not sure when a good night sleep will be normal again. The best of luck to you in finding that elusive butterfly of sleep. Let us know if you find the magic means !

I used to wake up at 2am every night for the first 5 weeks until I slept on my side when I slept through normally, I think its part of the recovery. I didn't have any naps during the day. I used to read and get back to sleep about 5am.
It is good when you sleep through though.
