Aah can be so hard, but I think that's knee replacement for you, different for all of us, you can only take advice and a lot of people on this site are much more informed than  I am. I sympathise so much with your low mood I'm like a yo yo up and down but eventually with time and even more so patience you will make progress. It's been a lot more of a hurdle than I expected mentally and emotionally, but I am making progress and when I look back over the months it's a slowly slowly catche monkey situation and progress does happen, stick in there, be kind to yourself and give yourself time xx

Ice and elevate!! Ice and elevate!! As much as possible. Do you have an ice machine? If not cheep ice pack is frozen peas. Use refreeze and use again. You need to ice as offen as you can. Also in bed put your head at foot of bed and place foot up on wall to reduce swelling. Or you can use pillows as long as you keep your knee straight. But no matter how painful you have to do exercises. I'm thee weeks out and dealing with the pain and swelling too. But by keeping the swelling down the pain decreases and then can exercise. As soon as done exercising ice and elevate!! Good luck and I pray for a speedy recovery.

I had MUA at end of March and it has been a rollercoaster.  I had alot of pain after, but not much bruising.  I was surprised as I thought I would only be sore.  But, the good thing is, is that I have gone from 78 bend to 105.  I would like to have more, but am so glad it has increased.  Still need more straightening, but pt said that will come with time, as will more increase in ROM.

This has gotten me down as well since I need to have the other knee done also.  This has made me question whether I should or not, although I know the other knee will not get any better w/o another tkr.
