MUA at 5 months, what will recovery be like?

I’ve been avoiding an MUA for months but I’m stuck at 90 ROM now and it seems to be going backwards!! I’m 50 and have struggled with ROM the whole time. The consultant has now said I will have to have a manipulation as nothing has worked. If anyone has had MUA maybe you could help with a few queries? How long was your recovery after MUA? We’re you back on crutches? How much physio will be needed? I’ve returned to work so it would be good to know how long I’ll be off for again. Thanks, Sharon

I'm only getting 60 degrees and they want me to have a MUA I'm only 4 weeks post op, so I'm hoping I can do it myself. I will be interested in the answers to your questions as a MUA terrifies me .

No one can answer your questions because you're trying to predict an absolutely unknown future. Some people's DNA generates a ton of scar tissue and they need an MUA. No one can point to who those people will be in advance. MUAs are NOT the end of the world...most patients who get them report great results.
I didn't need one and went from -14 / +84 to -1 / +123 in 10 weeks of PT @ 2X/week plus intense work at home. Everyone is different. There are no timetables...there are no comparisons. Let go of your expectations. You are you...that's it.
Meanwhile...
