Much better now

I had what the consultant called globus, and it was causing me anxiety, especially when in the dentist’s chair tipped right back, as it seemed to close off my nasal airway.

The dentist took an x Ray 15 months ago and showed me a black area which she said was infection. She said I needed root canal. I said ‘ no way. I’d rather have the tooth out!’ ( With the globus problem I couldn’t be in the chair for ages in end, having to sit up to just breathe every 5 minutes. I was prescribed antibiotics incase it flared up. A whole year later, back in February  of this year, the tooth was throbbing.... so I took the antibiotics. By the end of that week, I’d noticed a huge improvement in the globus problem, but it gradually came back. In March I persuaded the dentist to extract that tooth. I’d always felt that the globus/phlegm that seemed to have claws gripping my throat, stemmed from sinus or thereabouts....

Dentist kept saying ‘I doubt that!’.

The tooth was taken out, and the problem, has not been a problem at all since then.

A tooth root problem may not be the problem for everyone, but it seems to have been the cause of mine.

I can now lie in bed with just one pillow too 😀👍

Good luck everyone

Im starting to wonder if my bad tooth has anything to do with my situation..

About 3 weeks ago, i was eating a piece of sausage and it felt as if it got stuck in my throat.. little did i know that was just the beginning..

i have had 2 EGD’s done. Throat stretched twice & some dilation back there as well..

They say i have acid reflux real bad and my stomach is bad inflammed.. aside from that, they dont see anything thats causing me to not be able to eat.

Im having a esophagus manometry done Tuesday & im terrified! Then on Thursday i have to be put on the 48hr study thing to monitor the acid in my stomach..

I havent really ate anything in the last few weeks. Ive relied on meal replacement drinks. Ive also had anxiety problems since this happened.. im losing weight. I just wanna be able to eat. I keep feeling as if mucus is in my throat and i just need to keep coughing it up.

I have a bad tooth that has been hurting and probably has some infection in it. Maybe if i get that fixed it’ll help.. idk.

Im glad you feel better! That globus is horrible!
