Much Happier And The Wii Agrees!!

Posted , 6 users are following.

Last week I posted that I was so miserable as I had only lost 1Kg in 4 weeks. I received some lovely replies and some very helpful tips. I decided to up my game and started using my fitness pal again but this time doing it properly. I bought some new fitness titles for the Wii and have been increasing my exercise regime but last night I got a lovely surprise. When I got on the Wii for the first time ever it didn't tell me I was obese - I am merely overweight. I have never felt so happy to be called overweight in my life!

The purpose of posting this today is to hopefully give you some encouragement if you need it. You can get there but it might be via the scenic route - as it is in my case.

I prefer to exercise at home rather than a gym so the Wii is great for this. I am fortunate enough that I have a spare room where I have set it up on a small TV and just leave it in place. I get home from work around an hour earlier than my husband so I use that time to exercise and of course added benefits include not having to lug gym bags with you and being able to get showered in your own bathroom! I have several programmes I use but by far the hardest is the Mel B Wii Fitness programme.

Aww thanks hun. You can try out the Mel B exercises on you tube. Obviously it's not interactive with the Wii but it gives you an idea.

I am not surprised you are delighted, well done you - I would love to be merely overweight ha ha. I am still in the obese section I think - funny that, but I don't see Whales as obese, merely beautiful!!!! I have also upped my exercise this week and have been out on my bike 3 times since Monday and I've really pushed myself. Anyway, according to my scales I've lost 1.5lbs since my weigh in Tuesday. But I won't count my chooks yet as it is really bad to weigh yourself daily as it can fluctuate immensely and I get so disheartened if it doesn't go down down down. So no more weighing myself until the docs next month. So well done honey, you are doing brilliantly and I am glad you are feeling happier this week. Keep going. I'm next on my bike Sunday and I am aiming for 2.5 hours so whilst I am riding along cursing, sweating and rueing the day I allowed myself to get such a porka, I will think of you on your wii. Have a good weekend. smile

If you're anything like me I'm sure you had a really good time getting into the shape you're in so don't be too hard on yourself. smile I still haven't dared get my bike out but when I do I'll be aiming for 2.5 minutes!! Have a good weekend n keep in touch. BTW - did you get my email? I sent it from my work address so I don't know if it got through.

Hi sweetie, 2.5 minutes, ha ha, that was me when we started as I literally got to half a mile and said right, that's it, that was good right? and my husband said, no, another 2.5 miles today - at that point I passed out. Literally, it was half a mile and it nearly killed me. That's what keeps me going now as I don't want to have to go through that first 4 months again EVER. And I have just found your new email from work, it was in my junk box so I have retrieved it and un junked you! So I shall take a little read now and get back to you. Thanks honey. xx
