Have you had an ultrasound and hida scan to check your gallbladder? Do you have any stomach cramps and do the bowel symptoms occur after eating? Perhaps try a food diary. Has IBS been mentioned?

Yellow stool is usually undigested fat, so as others have said, getting your gallbladder checked would be good. Have you done any foreign travel over the last 18 months? There are a few infections that cause smelly yellow stools

giardiasis is the most common infection that causes loose smelly yellow stools ask to be tested for this

Hey Carl, Yellow stool with mucus, foul smelling, can be many causes.

Did they check your pancreas? You can know your pancreas health by doing blood tests or imaging

If your pancrease is not working, Then your stool can float on surface due to high amount of fat.

Some infection like giardia, Which you can get from drinking mountain water without filtering it.

Indigestion can manifest in many ways, It is related to anxiety, Stomach issues and bloating. If you have indigestion then you can try over the counter digestive enzymes.

Another thing is gastritis, which is also related to stress and it is difficult to digest food in that. for that you can try over the counter ranitidine.

But the core thing is to control anxiety through medicines in short run and for long run yoga and meditation does help, if done regularly.
