Multiple "anal fissures" scared it could be something else

I'm 18 years old (female) and about 3 weeks ago I experienced one of the worst BM of my life it was so painful ans extremely hard and was accompanied by bleeding, the symptoms have occurred every time I've had a BM and since that time. During the past 3 weeks I went on holiday and experienced dioreaha and loose BM for the whole week I was there which only irritated my bottom further, because of this I decided to visit the doctor and she did a rectal exam on me and concluded it was anal fissures. Because I have took it upon myself to do some online reading about the issue I have found that it is very unusual to have multiple anal fissures but is normal to have them located on the back wall of the anus- which is where mine are located, because of the fact I have multiple fissures I am very worried- I can't sleep or think straight and it's really getting me down. The doctor has told me to come back if the fissure doesn't heal or if it has in 8 weeks (prescribed with GIN ointment) so she can examine me again so I've booked an appointment for the 15th of September but I'm unsure if I can wait until then!!!
Please please please can someone tell me if this is normal or if they have experienced multiple anal fissures because I'm really worried that it's cancer or something more serious ( and I don't have anyone to talk to about it because everyone just telling me not to worry
Thanks !!

I've heard multiple fissure and can imagine that happening (e.g. One inside and one at the openning)- fissure can be small, but troublesome. Healing multiple should be no difference from healing one. Good luck to you.

Here are some suggestions I have for you to help you through:
1. Try somee zinc oxide in the form of calmoseptine which has menthol to soothe the area down there as well. Calmoseptine can be bought at almost any local drugstore and can be bought online too.
2. Try squatting when going on the toilet instead of sitting. This is a much helathier position and the poop sometimes will just slide out, no pushing or straining involved.
3. I would definately take a fiber supplement, specifically metamucil is what I take evveryday, in ordr to allow your stools to be soft and to allow them to pass thorugh easily. THis being said, with any fiber supplemetn, you must drink lots of water when using them, or they will not work veffectively. Also, do not take too much as too much fiber can irritate your bowels on the way out and diarreah actually does worse down there.
4. I would recommend getting a sphicteronomy surgery if htings dont get better. I waited it out, gave up, had the surgery, and was able to heal within about two weeks. I had a chronic fissure, so I knew where you are ocming from with v all the pain and discomfort.
Try listening to music to distract your mind a bit, especially when going to the bathroom. If you are in writing pain, distract yourself with a movie or TV show right after. Also, to prevent myself from screaming and from putting more stress in the area down there, i bit down on a washcloth in order to make the tensions with my teeth instead of my sphicter muscle.
Hope this helps!!!
Best,
Myles

Welll the good news is you have a diagnosis. Use the nitro as instructed. I was able to get it inside with the smallest gloved finger and rub around the area as MD instructed. Mine too was at the back. I healed in 30 days but then it came back with a vengence. I cant get the nitro inside, too painful. I placed it on the outside which helped but gave me bad headaches. I left mine in the car and it melted. Don't leave it in the car. My bowel movements r extremely painful. I have been told I need surgery. Inner and outer hemrrhoid removal, sphinchterotomy, anal fissure repair and botox. To the tune of right under 7000.00 dollars which my insurance did not cover. In addition to that I could no longer go to work pain too sevete and unpredictable. I hope your outcome is better then mine. See a specialist nit a regular MD.
