MULTIPLE JOINT PAIN

it is amazing how if you smoke, problems are because you do, the same with alcohol and weight. What if none of the above apply and you have symptoms ?? This year in February, I was getting terrible lower back pain and was sent for MRI. I have problem with 5 discs, bulging to the left and pressing on nerve.
Soon after this I started getting pain in my neck and up to my head as though I had a stiff neck. If standing up and looking down, terrible pain to lift head back up. In mornings cannot bend head down to even brush teeth. Also hurts to yawn, sneeze and even eat and swallow now.
Around about the same time, started feeling like a wet sensation in my knee, it felt like I had knelt in water and my jeans were wet on my knees, but nothing there. Doctor didn't have any ideas.
In June my left knee started swelling at the front, I had tight pain in the back of the knee and pain in calf. Very hot and red. Also swelling in left ankle. Sent for DVT scan and found to have fluid in left knee and calf. Cannot walk on this leg properly so most of weight transferring to right leg. Referred to Rheumatology Specialist - appointment not until Oct 21st !!!!
Late August my left knee starts to swell. Front and back of knee, calf and ankle. Hot and red and very tight like cramp. DVT clinic again to be safe but again fluid in leg. Cannot stand for long or walk outside the house at the moment now. Need transport to get from A to B. Pain is constant.
Now my left wrist and thumb stiff and pain every day .
What the hell is going on, symptoms getting worse by the day. Only being prescribed Meloxicam and co-codamol which give me terrible stomach cramps and not very effective for pain. Roll on October when maybe get some answers to what is going on - if they don't cancel the appointment that is !!!

My husband who has diabetes and subsequent nerve pain pretty much everywhere often says he feels as though he has been run over by a truck.
I have arthritis and often feel the same way.
We both got much worse four years ago when we began caring for my mother (age100!) in our home. There was a great deal of emotional stress which probably was harder to deal with than the actual physical care required.
Mom passed away two years ago, but our pain continues. We both think that STRESS played a HUGE PART in the development of our physical issues!
I mention this because YOU may find that there has been a stressful event or events in your life that MAY have sent YOUR body into arthritis overdrive.
Yes, I realize we all are getting older, but the sudden appearance for BOTH my husband and me of PAIN and aches just seemed more than a coincidence.
Maybe this will help answer the WHY for you.
As far as treatment, II use Icy Hot roll-on on my lower back 3-4 times a day. That helps .
I take Ibuprofen for pain, but often change it up to Extra Strength Tylenol or Aleve. It seems that after a month or so pain relievers lose effectiveness.
I had a TKR in June. My other knee is scheduled in two weeks. Knee replacements help, but arthritis pain in remaining parts of the body is STILL THERE!
I find that moving around and stretching helps. I also try to do as many things as I can to distract myself from the PAIN. Thinking about PAIN makes me hurt worse!
I don't think there is any magic bullet for arthritis. It is a NASTY, PAINFUL disease!
I pray a lot, try to remain positive, keep busy to distract myself, and just KEEP GOING! I try mind over matter for about 99% of my day. Sleep is in two-hour increments. Then I get up, move around, put-on more Icy-Hot and read a bit until it kicks in.
For me, ACCEPTANCE that I will NEVER BE pain-free also has helped.
I hope that today will be a better day for you. I will pray that you find some peace and also relief from pain.

You hear all the time about materials found in homes and schools such as asbestos and various chemicals as well as various types of mold. Our school district moved the children and their teachers to a church as they rennovated the school to remove asbestos. It was a gear before the school was done and the move-back took place.
I watched a show where this boy was severely allergic to SOMETHING. When the family moved to a different home his symptoms disappeared. They had lived amongst many olive trees. In their new house there were none. The boy had developed severe allergies.
Away from the olive trees he was FINE!
Sensitivity to chemicals, dust, foods, medications can happen. The environment CAN be toxic. Your move MAY have been a trigger STRESS-WISE or maybe something in your new place is bothering your body.
Our bodies are amazing things! They let us know when something needs attended to!
I hope you find what is making YOU feel worse and that you can achieve peace and calm and LOTS LESS pain!

one seemed to have felt it as well! I only get it, "wet" that is, when I have been standing a long time. But my doc. cannot explain it like yours can't!! I think it may be a circulation problem but I have no other symptoms. One of lifes mysteries! (Although I do not believe there is no explanation, just the docs, have not come across "wet" feelings before. Wish you better soon!!
