Multiple liver lesions? 19 yo

Hello,

I'm 19 and around 3 months ago i had an abdominal ultrasound because of some abdominal pain, and the results shower a 'cluster of echogenic foci' with a diameter of 3 cm on segment 6. And i was given a CT scan which confirmed the visualisation of the liver lesion but was not able to tell if its malignant or not. They told me to wait 3 months for another ultrasound to see if it has grown. Recently i had my second ultrasound and the results said that the lesion has not grown but 2 other lesions were found in segment 4a and 7 with the diameter of 6mm and 9mm. I'm so scared and i cant think of anything but cancer or metastases. The doctors say it might be haemangiomata and that they just didnt visualise the other lesions on the first ultrasound due to 'interoperator variability'. They have recommended an MRI. Has anyone had a similar experience? Could it be cancer??

Hi alex 80746, I have 5 large cysts in my liver. Mine are hepatic cyst. I don't know if I spell that right. But, 4 of them are ok in size, but one has grown 18 cm. Of course, the dr. said it was clear fluid but need to drain it. When the radiologist drain it in January he drain 2/1/2 liters of fluid. However, in less than a week I had a late night visit to the emergency room for excruciating pain on right side of my abdomen below rib and I couldn't breathe. So they did a cat scan and sadly it filled up again. My dr said he could do laroposcopi surgery but, I am to scared. I really wish I had the courage but I don't. And I know time is ticking.

My doctor said that these things are slow growing and are not usually cancerous. I had mines ever since 1999 and they where all small. I think age and diet played a part in mine growing so large. so it took until now for the problem to start but each person is different.
