Muscle fasciculations and can’t walk for longer than 10 mins

Hi Everyone,

Just to give some background I was previously really ill starting Sep 2017, whereby I had symptoms of chronic sinusitis, in which sinus pressure seemed worse after food alongside dizziness and extreme fatigue. No specialist could get to the bottoms of what was causing it after having multiple scans, allergy tests, steroid drops, antibotics. I even have an endoscopy done twice to check my stomach, as when the illness first started I had extreme pains under my left rib and into my back. There are plenty of forums online with me trying to connect pancreatitis and sinusitis because of what i was going through. Eventually symptoms subsided, and by the beginning of 2020 I had my life back.

Moving forward to October 2021, I started noticing the odd sharp shooting pain in my fingers and leg muscle twitch but written it off to do with exercise. Then suddenly i couldn't ignore it, the muscle twitches where visible and all over. It feels like insects are under my skin. My eyes appear redder than normal, i'm extremely fatigued and I can't walk for more than 10 minutes without pain in my right Buttock/Hip. I have intense itching in my feet, shins and elbows, and a back tattoo which is now red scabby and raised. I scratch that hard I draw blood. I've done tons of blood tests all coming back clear, i've now booked a private MRI Scan of Brain and Spine to check for MS and/or pinched nerves. However, i've read that muscle fasciculations are rarely a sign of MS. Any input, ideas or experiences would be much appreciated! l be posting updates of my journey on here.

Hi Danny, sorry to read about how you are right now. I'm currently freaked out with body wide fasciculations and muscles aches weakness so this thread is of interest to me. Have you considered dermatomyositis?

    Hi @LoobyM

I've had a look at dermatomyositis, I don't have any rashes associated with the places that are itching, just scabs wounds from itching intensely. The itches come periodically in waves. I'm wondering if a trapped/pinched nerve can cause muscle twitching all over, I havent noticed muscle weakness yet which is know is a key indicator alongside muscle twitches of ALS.

Edit Update: I notice a bruise like pain when pressing a spine bone of my upper back (just below my tattoo) and the same when pressing a spine bone in my Lower Back. Wondering if this is somehow linked...
