I get this too, mainly chest, neck, upper back and shoulders. Sometimes get twitches randomly as well in my arms, hands, legs and feet. Supposedly caused by tension although I get it even when I'm not feeling anxious but it could be a subconcious feeling without us realising it x

Yes I get it when I'm not anxious too. It gets better as day goes on but it's not pleasant. I even had a bath in Epsom salts !!

Anxiety has a lot to answer for doesn't it.. Seems to be when I'm feeling ok in myself as well then the pain comes on just to remind us! We'll get there eventually hopefully :-)

    Hi Karen

Yes i used to get it alot , but after talking to the guy who i was having CBT with, he said that progressive muscle training was good for this.

So i looked it up on you tube and found lots of videos to follow.

It is so easy lol, you can even do it in bed. its a routine of tensing and relaxing all your body parts inside and out.. there's some breathing exercises in it.

It calms the mind and body.

They started to ease straight away and i very rarely get them know but i still do the exercises morning and night. It was great for the fatigue i wä feeling at the time too.

Give it a whirl.. you can but try xxx
