I'm having severe nerve and muscle pain after stopping a benzo, my doctor has prescribed me pregabalin and I'm wondering if anyone else has tried it for the pain, and did it help?

May i ask what benzo how much and how long? Lyrica isnt a benzo .

i have tried it and it didn't help much with the nerve pain, BUT i have heard from plenty of others where it did help. Unfortunately it is sort of a trial and error, but be cautious about polydrugging as each drug carries some risks.

In my opinion antidepressants are worse than benzos. Horrible side effects, really dont help much with anxiety, and extremely diffucult to get off of. Effexor i and paxil being the worst.

This is Benzo and Ziplicone . Lyrica is neither. You dont feel confortable saying what or the amount of Benzo you were on so its hard to understand how to help. Everyone is on here to support others going through or gone through withdrawl. Polydrugging is dangerous and i think the antidepressent comment was in relation to detoxing off benzos. So i wish you the best of luck! 😃

Well i feel for you! The answer is yes! I have golfers elbow , absolute agony i cant lift my phone at times, Never had it in my life. Im looking for my own way to taper, the way im doing it isnt responding well, the very little sleep i get i wake up with spasms , you arent alone. Not quite sure why you are being prescribed something that has nothing to do with benzos , you cant stop cold turkey. Know you have support here and reply anytime. Be well

if u need further help try other forums dedicated to benzos -- theres one very good one that will pop up on any search but i dont know if its against forum rules to mention other forums -- just google it and youll see -- youll find others there who took the same drugs u did and can give u more feedback
