Muscle Regrowth

Hi all just an update as to how it all going, and we have a water problem here in Blackpool and I think I caught a bit of it yesterday, the wife is off her food, and shies away from less than a cat, or a mouse, or sparrow, would eat on a small saucer...I hurled a cat yesterday afternoon, rolleyesand felt better 8 hrs later, but poor Sandy is really magnetically off of her food.sad

I tried, again, typing this, and the result was not good an hour later...But his post is about Muscle Growth, it has been three weeks since the second operation, and at last ....Yes...there is a difference in my calves, I am a lefty, and my right side was done first, sneaky as I was.....the surgeon bought it...well its one or the other .....right....cool

I wanted the right one done first because I have an Auto car, and wanted to drive as soon as was possible, Had a Tesco's delivery last night Wow!! What a great service they deliver for next to nothing, topped up the freezer, and it was all brought up a flight of steps....cheesygrin

Hurrarr!!! The Re-growth of my great left leg has begun....I used to have sensational Hook kicks in Karate with that leg, ....Alas.....sweet memories...of decades ago,  people running away from my legs.cool

I turned to Tai chi 20 yrs ago, and still practice the basics at least three times a week.

I do a very tame Chen style with a few leg lifts concentrating on my fists now I am older.cool

Legs ....well I now have implants...Derrr....redface

Those Hospital Exercises, the foot pumps, and the pushing the leg into your bed, and then the following morning the knee lifts at the kitchen counter really work.I can report that my left leg is re-growing now just measured it today.cheesygrin

Yes it is re-growing, there are cms difference, I am so happy that I am going to get through this, and will continue the regime as I go.

My life is becoming rebalanced.....And there are TaiChi moves I was doing ten years ago, before I was struck down with all of this, I want to relearn, and go over again but my hands have taken over.cool

Keep up with the sheet, do as much as you can, and it is tiring and will help put you to sleep if you can't sleep, then exercise, just the magical number of 50, if you can....rolleyes

Remember the breathing exercises they are very important to getting back to normal quicker, KiGung is natural to me with my TaiChi, but not normal to most westerners, just please look into it more closely and you too can make the fast recovery that I have surprised all the experts with. Hope you like my Emotions to raise a smile as you read my post and I wish you all a speedy recovery, I will continue to do the best that I can for you while I am here..cool

oh Ian I love reading your posts.

The news of your water hasn't reached Australia, I will certainly look it up and read about it now.

As for the Thai chi...I've never tried it but heard its Very good. Glad to hear your rehabilitation is going well with positive changes.

Hi Ian. What a pain with your water supply! Glad you seem to be over the bug though. Your post made me think of times past - used to bring the kids to Blackpool for a big annual karate weekend - end of October I think (always cold, but the lights would be up). Everyone used to stay at a caravan park - happy times - enjoyed Blackpool, but a long way to come (we are in Sussex).
