Muscle twinges all over body

hi, I hate to waste peoples time. apologies for this post. I've had muscle twitches in my calves for the past year, I have seen a neurologist 6 months ago and they put it down to this bfs thing, benign fasiculation syndrome, however since 2 weeks ago my whole body is twitching, both sides, buttocks , thighs, calves, arms...every part of my body. I do worry about MND or ALS but I have no apparent weakness or atrophy. I've no idea what this is. has anyone else had this or suffering??

sounds to me like restless leg syndrome by the description Maybe talk about that with your doctor

I went to the respiratory clinic today - & I ws very stressed . I had to put an entire tube (including the part where normally you would just press your lips against it in my entire mouth & put a peg over my nose

I couldnt get that in my mouth as soon as it got uncomfortable I heaved & said I cant do that -fortunately the doctor was able to use a smaller machine with a very small pipe -so I used that & held my nose & had to breathe right in & blow out as hard as poss to give an acceptable reading . I had to give 6 -to make up for not using the big one it hurt my chest .Now I know how drunk drivers feel when they do breath tests lol

The bigger one was just not going to happen

I think Ive got farmers lung disease given the fluid in my lungs This is a very dark time for me because Ive never ever ever had lung problems - so Im very scared what will be confirmed - when that gets confirmed & pray its not cancer

    Hi Josh,

You're not wasting anyone's time at all, we all have ailments of one kind or another and talking about them often help, which can only be good for us all.k

I've never heard of your problem so I looked it up on Wikipedia, my word, it must be horrible for you!

One thing I did read was that Vitamin D might be a help to you, talk to your Dr or Pharmacist about it and he/she will let you know what dosage is best. If it were me, I'd also want a more in-depth consultation with your Dr and especially your Neurologist.

Please let us know how you get on Josh, I'd really like to know. Very best wishes to you.

hey sue. thank you for your response. I am pretty worried about this, but at same time I need to be strong for wife and baby. i will look into vitamin D an see what it can do. i will try anything. look it's not great googling stuff like this as it pretty much gives you worst case scenario. that's not where i can go. just need to be vigilant. thank you sue, I hope you are doing ok with your struggles!!

      Hi Josh,

I'm pleased you're at least going to give Vitamin D a try, keep it up through the winter months, we need it.

I agree re googling. You still don't mention going to see your Dr to ask the very necessary questions, well worth doing!

I'm not too bad thank you, I see a specialist Dr next week for my spine, fingers crossed!

Look after yourself Josh for the sake of your family, please.

      Best wishes, Sue
