Muscle twitching and vibrations

Hello all,
I got COVID in January and a few weeks after i got rid of the virus I started getting muscle twitches all over my body (fasciculations). I've also noticed a rippling effect in my muscle fibres during contraction.
I was wondering if anyone has also experienced similar symptoms after beating the virus?

Very interesting to read these stories, a fair bit of overlap with mine.
Last October, after having light colds, but not bothering to test for Covid, first my Mother and soon after, I, had worrying palpitations. Hers cleared after a day or two, but mine didn't. They would eventually decrease over a couple of months, during which time I noticed the muscle twitches people are talking about, mostly in the arms and back, but sometimes elsewhere.
A couple of GP appointments and an ECG diagnosed the palpitations, but as they were passing naturally nothing more was done. The feeling was given the timing, two people in the same house etc, and blood work all being good, this was pegged as post viral symptoms, and apparently they were seeing 'a lot' of stuff like this.
Unfortunately, several weeks ago, the symptoms returned, not as bad as first time round, and seem to wax and wane, neither being very bad or fully gone, but very disconcerting. Other peripheral symptoms I have experienced are being able to perceive pulse in parts of the body you wouldn't normally, especially pressure points, and toes when resting. Also get mild pins and needles, and it all adds up to some kind of neurological damage. Also significantly more tired by the end of the day, but this could just be stress.
To add some context to the vaccination talk, I had only had AZ and Pfizer jabs, and was over 5 months from the last one. My mother, due to reasons not worth going into, hasn't been vaccinated at all.
Like most, its hard to pull apart the symptoms themselves, the impact of stress, and other unrelated aches and pains. I definitely feel less fit than I was a few months ago, and that might also be impacting energy levels.
Its a push and pull between trying not to rush things, and let it pass with time (assuming it will), or 'pushing through' with life and activity. Its certainly hard to have any enthusiasm for anything or make plans, not knowing where things are heading.

Hello , I would like to share that I too have the same issue. Shortly after getting the 2nd Pfizer vaccine in May 2021 , I have had constant muscle twitching.
It started a few days after the 2nd dose , and was in my eyebrows. I now have the twitching all over my body - anywhere really - in my arms, legs, back, neck.
Obviously I notice it more when I am resting, sitting or lying down - never while on the move.
I am extremely concerned that this could be something even more worrying like a motor neurone disease. I said it to my local GP a number of months ago , and he didn't appeared worried at all.
I am now coming up to 2 years with this problem , and it appears to be getting worse.
I did get Covid in December 22 as well , but the twitching had already started.

Hi fergal and everyone on this helpful thread. I believe I'm in the same boat as many here, My story similar to nate and greg. I live in the UK so NHS for me. I suspect I had covid in Feb 20 before the test were available - symptoms check out and wife had as well, she had taste issues for 18m. In about maybe june 20 I noticed both calves twitch at rest, no pain no other issues - possibly a bit more tired and some pins and needles / 'dead' arms now and again. We had 2x phizer in jul 21. I think I sleep worse, I've rarely had more than 6 hours ever and wake up less perky but I turned 60 in 2020 so impossible to know how much of this is age related but up to then pretty healthy and active.
Left it for a year or so, GP appointments and covid didn't mix well here. Hadn't gone away and I researched the usual motor neurone, parkinsons, MS, typical keyboard doctor... Went to the doc sometime end 2021, he did the basics, bloods for electrolytes, B12, etc, neuro exam - all negative. Next option was MRI, nerve exam and so on. In talking to him I decided if it was serious it probably would have (or will) progress and there was nothing I could do, the major conditions are not that treatable. I've been waiting for it to worsen but it's fairly consistent.
I tried hydration, vitamins, diet, exercise, rest, massage, nothing makes much difference.
Like several here I decided to try to ignore it and get on. I have a yoga routine which I do 5-6 time pw and use this as my 'test' - if I can still do it all then it's not getting worse. Some days I think it's gone, then it's back. Maybe it's food, environment, sleep, or just the weather - there appears to be no trigger.
@fergal81024 and everyone, I hope these are not symptoms of a more serious issue but in my limited experience of just me - if it was serious it would progress, mine hasn't so I'm taking that as a win.

Hello to all,
how are you now? I've had similar symptoms for the last two months. I assume i passed covid September. Not confirmed for me but my wife got a positive test.
i have manly muscle twitching. Specially my legs, but sometimes arms and back. On my calves are the most obvious.
Is all this getting better for you?
