MVD Op

Posted , 1 user is following.

Hi I had MVD op on 2nd March pain free at present apart from numb cheekbone and head but it is still early days so fingers crossed for full recovery (or am I being too optimistic) scar has healed well and apart from a little unsteadyness and "whooshing" sound in ears  I feel fine. My op was done at the Q.E. hospital in Birmingham UK and I cannot praise them enough, but like all hospitals I was glad to come home, though felt that 2 days after op was a bit soon really. Hope anyone else having this op has as good an experience as I have had.

Great news that your MVD went so well at QE Birmingham 'Mommaphipps'.  Hoping that you will continue to rest and recover well.  I had mine 21 months ago in Bristol and am very happy with my outcome too.  All best wishes.

Mine was just facial spasms with no TN thank goodness; spasms were quite bad over 9 years and took a big toll on me physically and emotionally.  But, pleased to report a full recovery.  I had spasms for 6 weeks after surgery but they disappeared completely at that point and have not come back.  I did find that I wasn't at full strength until about 3 months post surgery, but was pretty well from 3 weeks onwards.  Hope you will continue to do well and will be spasm free.
