My 13 weeks verdict

My…! how time flies

13 weeks on Escitalopram 10 mg a day… I can remember vividly how low I was 4-month ago (I mean the lowest) scared, didn’t want to socialize with anybody, just wanted to stay at home missing out on life and love ones. After my bad experience with Zoloft I decided to try Escitalopram, praying that it would work for me, keeping busy and doing daily exercise also helped, I’m able now to stop thinking too much about anything and function socially, I still have to deal with what life brings bad or good and make the best of it, that’s normal.     Congratulations on your new path. I have been where you have been and had little hope in seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Things have changed. There is a reason for this. Our presence is needed to show others who may be suffering that we can in fact get to the other side. God bless.

    Hi Hana! Its good for us to hear success stories with Escitalopram. Could you give us some more infos? How old are you? What was your therapy schedule with the medicine? Are you intent to increase the dose or not?

    I am about 46 and have aslo menopause side effects and hormons imbalance. I have tried two times in the past with Escitalopram..I reached up to 15 mg and stayed for 4 months. I can  say, that I was not feeling the serenity I looked for to battle my unxiety when socializing with people, as a bit of benzo of taking from time to time for this purpose. From the other side, I was very vivid, with full of energy to do things.

    So gradually, I got it off and had the opportunity to make an 8 days trip to Skandinavia with a group of 50 persons. There, I was like my old self, before anxiety and compulsive thoughts. I forgot my daily enviroment, because the brain had new images and information and felt happy and light wihtout medicnesas If it was tired trip with plains, trains and boats insiide. Nevertheless I was feeling so alive there!

    Say all this story above to proove, that is all inside our mind and maybe in reality we all do not think peels in order to feel better but new images, friends, inviroments and a big effort ofcourse to do this!

    From now on, be always very well !!
