My 4 year old son started with spots just over a year ago. We have been to see many doctors over the year, they all told me they would clear up by themselves. But still they keep appearing. Now my two others sons have got them, even though they have seperate baths, their own towels, and face cloths. I am expecting our 4th son in about 6 weeks and I am worried that they will pass on to him. My oldest son who is 8 years old, came home from school in tears, because other children had been saying things about the spots on his neck. We have been using tea tree oil body wash, because I have heard that this can help with warts, I am getting to the point where I will try anything. Does anybody have any ideas?

My 7 yr old daughter has Molluscum on the top of her legs and seems to be spreading. We've been looking at the web for any solutions going. Have seen Zymaderm recommended by others. Can I asked if it worked for you?

    Thanks

Hi there, ti-tree is a good idea but not in a body wash as they are mostly too diluted to work, buy yourself a bottle of pure ti-tree essential oil and a bottle of lemon and blend a few drops with a base oil such as grapeseed and apply it with cotton wool to the affected areas, I did this with my son and they cleared very quickly, hope this helps love and peace Karin P.S I have also heard that the homeopathic remedy Thuja is very good too.

    Hi there,

My son had this condition last year, I treated it with a blend of pure ti-tree essential oil and lemon verbena essential oil in a base oil of grapeseed, I applied to the effected areas with cotton wool at night before he went to bed and it cleared up within 2 weeks, now I dont know if this is coincidence because I too had been advised by my doctor to leave them alone as their was no treatment but after nearly a year of no sign of them going I decided to try and tackle them myself. Give it a go just make sure you dilute the oils to suit your childs age range. I hope this helps. Good luck, Karin

P.S Be sure to use good quality oils and not body washes as they may be too diluted to have any therapeutic amounts.

Thanks for your advice. I will try on my 6 years old daughter. She has M.C. for more than 3 months - not getting better in fact getting worse. As she has already have Eczema, it is more difficult to treat. Some children don't find M.C. itchy but my daughter feels so itchy that she finds it hard not to scratch. She has more than 50 on each inner leg and is still spreading. I can't understand why doctors are not keen to treat them. Although it is not harmful but think about what they do to these little children!:ill:

    Hi Karin

Would be grateful if you could tell me what proportions to mix the oils or is this self explanatory when you purchase? Am currently trying 'Molluscum No More' on my daughter (4yrs) which is T Tree based but if it doesnt work am looking for alternatives..

    thankyou

    Jayne
