My 6yr old broke his leg, and now he won't stop peeing his pants

His leg has been broken less than a week, and he just won't stop. He has no problem playong, or getting up/down from the bed or couch when he wants to, but refuses to go to the bathroom. He has been accident free for almost 2 years, now he's wet up to 4x a day. He'll be sitting wherever and won't ask is to take him to the bathroom, or even try to go, he just pees right where he is. He tells us it's too hard, that's why he's doing it, but I've seen him go up and down our stairs without hesitation. We've told him to yell for us if he feels like he has to go, and we'll carry him if we need to, but he wont. We won't realize until we go to tell him to go to the bathroom, and he's already wet. We just started taking toys, games, even TV privilege , and he'll go while he's grounded and bored, but as soon as he gets anything back he pees himself. I feel bad that his leg is broken, and it makes me feel really guilty forcing him to be bored, I'd get him pullups, but he won't be able to go to school with them . I'm at my wits end. Any advice?

Good lord.  Call the doctor and set up an appointment to address this between the doctor, your son, and you.  This nonsense needs to stop.
