    Hi,

I really feel for you, when its your daughter, it must be so upsetting!

Does she get worse in bright lights at all?  Have they scanned her?  I would suggest never give up nagging the drs about it and insist on seeing a neurologist that specialises in headaches.

To suddenly go from a happy full of energy child to feeling like this is naturally worrying.

Is anything worrying her at school at all?

I do hope you get a sollution soon and your daughter can live a happy life.

    Best wishes and take care

Do let us know how you get on.

hi personal20, thanks for your reply.. yeah bright lights irritate her very much so, they havent scanned her yet as they said there isnt enough red flags to do so,frown this headache came on all of a sudden while she was sleeping and hasnt left since, calpol or any other child med doesnt work. and as for her home and school life, she is number 3 of 4,the only girl and is very much loved and spoilt at home and has loads of friends in school so this is why its worrying because i know its not psychological... shes only 8 and is way too young to understand worry and stress.. also this twitching is very worrying. il defo have something to say to the docs on monday.. i just cant understand how they have missed this,

I would request an EEG if they haven't done one already. Sounds like something neurological... though, it really could be nothing serious, as well. I had terrible headaches as a child and I fidget a lot in my sleep but that's just me. If it came on suddenly and doesn't seem to be getting better I highly suggest pushing the notion that something is wrong. Sometimes doctors need a hard shove to do their job properly.

thanks angel-baby for your reply.. i defo will be pushing for this as you said yourself sounds neurological .. the twitching only started along side her headaches.they also send bloods to a different hospital and il know results in about another week, as the other hospital has a more advance lab, so its all in the works i suppose, all she wants to do is lie down and watch her telly and sleep.. as she gets dizzy very easily.... i could go straight to the hospital but the waiting in our hospitals are absolutely shocking and not very comfortable, we have an appointment for monday and the waiting isnt that long....so iam going to wait... hopefully they will keep her for further testing... i will push and push for the scans that are needed, thanks guys

Headaches are associated with depression & anxiety. So maybe this is the cause.I suffer as well for a very long time. From the age of 6 I felt afraid insecure terrified worried fearful.Never felt safe. Was diagnosed with anxiety in my 20's.Still suffering now and I am 42.Started getting headaches last June & everyday since. Some days I feel really low & suicidal.
