MY ANXIETY
Posted , 2 users are following.
Hi Guys,
Just thought i would jump on here, explain my symptoms and see if anyone shares the same.
I take sertraline 50mg daily.
My main symptoms are all physical. I have frequent spells of extreme lightheadedness and feeling like I'm going to faint (I have never fainted) this causes me to feel extremely unwell and anxiety follows. I also feel worn out rhe rest of the day. This happens randomly even when I don't think I'm anxious.
I can also feel constantly lightheaded/woozy all day and like I am I a daze and spaced put.
I feel like I am constantly complaining about feeling unwell and it's so frustrating.
I am constantly thinking that I am going to drop dead at any moment and this has also caused me to stop exercising/going to the gym or playing football.
My second main symptom is I seem to urinate extremely frequently. Way more than anyone else I know.
I would appreciate any comments from anyone.
I have had several medical checks from doctors. Blood tests/ECG/Heart ultrasounds/blood pressure checks and doctors say I am medically physically fit.
I have these thoughts constantly and can't enjoy myself anymore.
For reference I am a 29 year old male.
Thanks

Hi there
how long have you been on sertraline for may i ask? i know these drugs do take time and im in the process myself, im on something different called Citalopram and have been for like 7 or 8 weeks. i didnt find they were helping as much as they should so i spoke to my doctor and he upped my dose today so my advise would be to ring and ask if you can speak to your doctor because he/she would know what to do. i know it's hard but just try relax and do something you enjoy. ive recently just started watching cooking programs like Gordon Ramsay lol but it really does seem to calm down for some reason. anyway like people on here say it's just anxiety and it won't kill you. thats what im trying to combat overcome and think of positive things even though its not easy. but i wish you good luck and health and hopefully your doctor will help you. bye for now
