Stop Googling!!! Seriously, just stop Googling and I bet you will notice a reduction in your symptoms within a few days. I have this nasty habit also and when I manage to stay away from Google for a few days I start to feel worlds better. You have been to the doctors and they're not concerned, so this is good news. Just stay away from Google. If you get really worried again, go to the GP but don't Google it's not good for you. All the best x

What you have to consider is why you are going on Google. Are you hoping for reassurance? You will never find it on Google, only worst case scenarios. Or, perhaps, you think it's better to know what you're dealing with in case an early diagnosis might improve your chances. Yet you've been to the doctor and the doctor does not think you have cancer. The doctor is qualified to diagnose you, the same cannot be said for either Google or yourself. The other week I had a brain tumour, a heart attack, a whole host of horrible neurological disorders, an impending stroke and God know what else. Except I didn't. I had anxiety which was made much worse by going on Google. It should be banned for people like us.

If it's really making life difficult for you, perhaps you should consider having some therapy for your anxiety. Most people find CBT very helpful. You can even find some self help resources online (a more positive way to use the internet). Controlled breathing exercises and meditation can also be helpful. It's really about finding what works best for you. When you get the urge to Google, try and distract yourself with something for ten minutes to see if the urge passes.
