My anxiety is worse & advice for sleeping

i had weaned myself off Citalopram 10mg a few weeks before a holiday in Dubai. I was conscious that its not allowed there & you can get in big trouble if its discovered in your luggage. Anyway it returned on the holiday alongside a very painful lower GI problem. Needless to say the holiday was ruined. I got home on the Monday & restarted my Citalopram but today (Saturday) my anxiety is awful. I'm not sure if its the medication or my other issue but i'm almost climbing the walls. I just wonder if taking Amitriptyline could have exacerbated it? Ive not been sleeping and was desperate so took some last night. i also have some Melatonin & Diazepam in the house so dont know if id be better trying these? Anyone got any experience of any of these whilst taking Citalopram?
