my back is not cooperating

Hi all ... so sorry to come back here with an issue ... I am 14 weeks post op from R THR - it all went well until groin pain appeared in week 4 - x ray on May 13 showed rapid decline of cartilage in right hip in 6 months time ... I have to find another place to live by August 01, 2015 as I was given noitce to leave (in week 4 post-op... what timing?) --- now for the not so great part -  my back is killing me ... can barely walk anymore and doing the stretches is so challenging ... Physical Therapist is not really of big help here ... she puts me on the stationary bike and massage the spot ... any suggestions ?  almost feels like pre-op and feeling down right now ....

p.s. I am not receiving any notifications since Sunday .... didn't mess with settings or any thing ... it is not in Spam folder -  any body knows what to do ?

warm hug to all

Hi Renee, I am so sorry that you have these problems. My advice is to make an appointment with your Doctor and see what he/she can do for you; whether it be to see a specialist or whatever. Great timing for you to move house, have you got friends or relatives that can help you find other accomodation and with the move? You do need to ask them for help. As for not receiving messages sorry can't offer you any explanation or suggestions; in view of this problem I hope you receive this message.

Keep smiling Renee and all the best.

Big hug from Hazel (Derek's wife)

    Hi Renee

Love and support but no solution I'm afraid. Have you been in touch with your surgeon or been to your gp?

It's horrible when other things crop up like this, when you're recovering from THR, it can make you feel so blue.  Sorry you're having  back problems on top of everything. I too have had back issues, which is down to a slipped disc which happened because of strain on my back due to weakness in hip. Are you getting any sciatic pain down your leg?  Could you have an X-ray or MRI of your back done?

I do hope you get some good luck with the housing situation soon.

    big hug

Awww my poor friend Renee (((((((((big hugs))))))) so sorry your not feeling any better, is there no-one that can help you find somewhere to live? I know your in Holland but don't they have anything like social care? maybe they could help you. As for the pain etc are you resting enough? what about a hot water bottle on your back? maybe the heat would help? Love and big hugs Gill xxxx

    Hi renee.

I am so sorry you are going through this.

.Have you ever thought it could be your bed or the way you are sleeping /  sitting  that may be causing your back pain? They say a harder bed is better than a soft one when you have had a THR.

Just three things to think about.

You really are going through it having to move at a time like this too. So not fair on you.

I know what you mean when some hospital staff do not listen to you.  Maybe you should contact patient support at your hospital. Any issues they can and will deal with them. You could also ask to have a different therapist if yours is no good.

I am not getting notifications either and have not done so for over a week I have no idea on here where the setting are so I know I have not touched mine either. Very strange.

    Sending you a warm hug.x

Thank you so much or your responses ...

Hailea, I sleep in  a cupboardbed (had to look this up) - small, narrow and I can barely turn ... It might be very possible that this causes my problem ... good thing I am moving, right ? rolleyes -  I called doctor's office and was told to double pain meds -

no sciatica ... Network is working hard to find me a place -

A little cumbersome to retrieve notifications but I can't do without you all -

    warm hugs

Renee. I would suggest that your bed could be your problem then.

I really hope you get sorted out so you can relax soon. Not good to have to move house on top of everything else you're having to deal with. Keep positive it won't be forever. x

    Hi Renee

So sorry you are feeling down - the housing issue must be a real worry for you. Do you have a social care system you can contact to give you some advice or a good friend or relative who can help you

It's just good to share the burden at times like this. Can your GP or specialist give you any advice with your back

Can't help with the PC problem, but thinking of you - you are such a help to others

    Kindest wishes and take care

    Linda xx

Sorry fellow hippies, the following will need google translate for mist of you 😁
