My blepharitis is gone!

Hi there I would like to share my success story. Accidental paint mist irritated my eyes and quickly led to blepharitis. Six months of warm compresses, cleaning and eye drops for little (almost none) improvement.

Then,

I tried tea tree oil shampoo which gave immediate improved results. I continued this three times daily for five weeks. Then .5% otc hydrocortisone cream lightly applied to my upper eyelids twice daily for six days (max!) which broke the inflammation cycle and my eyes are now comfortable and confirmed healthy by my optometrist. Hope this can work for somebody else!

I have not had anything help mine , I tried all that and everything irritates my eyes, mold caused mine a few years before the major ogonising outbreak at its worst I had a accident at tafe collage were the acrilic file dust from the electric nail file got into my eyes and I didnt wash it out , I then had agony pain in my eyes and was treated like they didnt even know what was going on, they gave me drops fml that hurt my eye balls and stoped using them also told me to wash them with saline they are hopless these doctors, they just care about the next money the next client, I saw 5 years ago specialist who said I had blepheritus and saw another optomatrist who said it was the worst hed ever seen in his career he was in his early 60s any way Im over it breaks my heart cant were even make up for the last 5 years Iv tried it irritates then I swell again my top eyelids are so bad its always swollen up, Im scarred to try anything now as its swelling up all the time, I pray and use energy to heal it ,that helps to take my mind of the issue but not gone at all, the honey 30+ only irritated my eyelids making them swell. sorry I got no good answers but I really sick of my eye lids stinging being swollen all day and night for the last 5 years I am 45 and never was a person to get ill until I was stuck in a crapy relashionship with a guy who abused me at the time of my geting blepheritus. I left him and was the best thing to do then left my moldy house not long after. I feel sad that I have it but it could be worse, I am greatfull I only have that.

      Hi Catherine,

Can you tell me more about the mold causing your blepharitis?  Our family of 5 (three children ages 16,14, and 10) has blepharitis.  We also discovered a high mold spore count and have changed all the ductwork in our house.  We have itchy eyes, gunk in corner of eye from time to time and some eyelashes falling out from time to time.  A spray with distilled water and colloidal silver has helped, but not gone.  I have done the manuka honey regime and that helped but not gone.  How do you know yours was first caused by mold?  Thanks
