My Carpal Release Surgery Experience.

I spent a small fortune on all these alternative remedies, or should I say wasted.

I brought a pack of carpal solution straps after trying a range of alternative remedies that didn't work, including exercises, Stretches, homeopathic medicines, vitamins, splints, diets & Ctrac device. The pain in my left hand was just getting worse. I tried the carpal solution after they said it would most definitely work.

Well for me unfortunately it didn't. I also tried the 'carpal solution' on my right hand by reversing the tapes. This obviously didn't help either.

The only thing that gave me some respite from the pain was the night splint. I put off surgery because of all the horror stories I had heard, but the pain was only going to get worse so I saw my GP and had surgery.

All my worrying was for nothing, The operation was quick and totally painless. The healing process was faster than I ever could imagine. I was back at work (Manual job) after four days and back riding my bike which is a large cruiser (Kawasaki VN1600) weighs around 750lb before the stitches were out!

I still haven't had any pain whatsoever and didn't need the cocodomal tablets I was given.

3 weeks after surgery there is hardly a mark left on my hand from the cut which was 7/8" of an inch long. My hand works perfectly just like it did before the op but without that nagging numbness and tingling. I am so pleased with the surgery I had, I should have had it done years ago.

I will be getting my right hand done soon.

    Hi Louise,

My left hand is perfect, gradually got stronger and stronger.

Had my right hand done in October, this one healed the same but still get a little ache now and again, but thats improving too.

So glad I had them done, they were getting worse and worse.

I can now sleep all night without being woken by pain and pins and needles.

I'm now living a normal life.

I read all the horror stories on the internet before I had them done, this put me off doing them for years, all I can say is get it done because it will only get worse. And don't waste money on these expensive treatments like I did. NONE of them helped at all except a wrist brace I used at night, but at the end even that didn't help.

    Good luck Louise.

I know how you feel. Get it done and font take any notice of the horror stories you read on the net. I got to the point where I could only manage a quarter of a mile on my bike (vn1600) and could hardly sleep. But now, a year on, I'm living a normal life and so glad I got it sorted.

      Good luck
