Since using bectamethosone inhaler , I have suffered terrible acid reflux. GP says it has nothing to do with inhaler-- Computer says No !!
Stopped taking inhaler and no more acid reflux but coughing again.

Aw drs says "it's all in the mind" far too easily. They do not have the resources to screen for things holistically and keep plugging away to resolve enough issues with people;...very dangerous and people suffer. Please persist. You could ask to see specialists to discuss these complications further...both conditions can cause a lot of pain and discomfort, reducing quality of life and can be life-threatening. You deserve with such a complex case, to have drs spend enough time and patience resolving this for you, even if you have to re-visit and monitor regularly. Often inter-specialist advcie needs to be sought. You could ask to be referred to a Gastroenterologist and a Respiratory Consultant too. Also...if you need help with self-advocating you could contact~

& sometimes consultants will write to one another to join up care approaches. You could look into Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder too. Just some more thoughts! N

For acid reflux, you should see a Gastro-enterologist and find a solution.
