My cousins have endometriosis, im having all the symptoms, is it generic?

I been having all the symptoms of endo. The lower back pain, pelvic, stomach pain, bloating. I also have leg pain which im not sure is linked to endo but my pain is constant as ive had it non stop for a month now but feel worse when im on my period.

I have been to the doctors as he said it could be a possible ovarian cyst but he didnt really know so he is refering me for a ultrasound which wont be for a couple of weeks!! He did no other tests apart from a urine test (still waiting on results)

My mum has told me both my cousins have endo and im just wondering if its generic?

I think it is. As my cousin had it too. Hers was really bad. Luckily I caught mine quite early and managed to get rid of it. The only thing that can confirm endo is a laparoscopic procedure. An ultrasound will not confirm endo.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for that. New to this site and this possible endo. Feels good to talk to someone about it. Will definately make it known to the doctors about endo as a possibility due to my cousins having it too

Yes keep onto them. It took me almost a year to get the ball rolling as they were so reluctant. Good luck.

Hi I think it could be but if your being scanned for a cystdon't let them ignore your pain try getting them to give you a ca125 blood test this is an indicator they should not ignore I went though it for years then told possible dermoid cyst until then it grew they removed my left ovary and tube with the cyst and found out it was a rare ovarian cancer. . I've just had my other ovary removed as got more cysts good luck ..find my page wombles small cell ovarian cancer awareness and fight on facebook if you can xx
