MY CURE FOR MC

My battle with molluscum contagiosum was one of the most humbling and transformational experiences I have had. I first noticed a small pimple-like bump on my upper nose. I popped the bump thinking it was just a pimple and it never seemed to subside. I just thought it was just your average pimple, I would say it was July 2018. I really didn’t pay much attention to it because I was thinking it was just another break out, but then other bumps started forming on my forehead and a few around my nose. This is when I noticed there was a problem but I still was unsure of what exactly these obscure bumps were on my face. The first bump I described on my upper nose, had a white substance come out of it that I now know was the molluscum but I thought it was just regular puss fluid that comes out of most pimples (even though it was a thicker/solid texture). I think this was the moment I started spreading the molluscum bumps to other parts of my face. The bumps were not fading away like pimples, but they protruded on my face and it was so noticeable to me (ITS MY FACE!). I started exfoliating my face, didn’t work. I started using Apple Cider Vinegar, it irritated the bumps like I was burning them but they were still there. My skin started scabbing and growing on top of itself, which made my bumps look like little spec tumors, which is how some molluscum lesions tend to look. There was about a good 8 of them. Its now December 2018, and the bumps are apart of me, I hate seeing it on my face but I seem to get use to them in a way but they still are bothering me…I honestly think its just a weird skin infection that will eventually go away. My family is now asking me what is going on with my skin and I am completely clueless. I honestly don’t know why my skin is looking like this and I always pick at them. They’re just balls of skin with a white center that I would have to squeeze and squeeze to get out, then it would bleed and scab.

I decide to use some old acne medicine ( Tretinoin .025%) and it literally burns the bumps, but they are still there. I tried Apple Cider Vinegar and Tea tree oil daily as a natural treatment for a couple of months, it was not working and new bumps were forming. They were small and could pass for small forming pimples but I knew it was adding to the madness and still my 8 strong healthy skin tumor looking bumps. I decided to see a dermatologist in March 2019, and they pretty much think its cystic acne. I explained how the bumps have been forming since July 2018 and the substance that comes out isn’t like the average puss fluid but a bit waxy. The doctor immediately suggested it was molluscum contagiosum and prescribed me some strong topical cream.

I took the topical cream and ordered some natural topical liquid from Amazon. Between the two ointments, my skin completely started becoming irritated and scabbing. I researched what molluscum contagiosum exactly was and was horrified when I found the truth. Supposedly you can have it for up to 4 years and I currently was on my 9th month and there was no cure, the best treatment was stated to “leave it alone”. I was extremely depressed and frustrated to find a way to remove these ugly bumps.

So one day I dipped my face in warm water mixed with about a cup of bleach. I held my breath and made sure to pop all the bumps prior to soaking my face. I routinely did this for a week for about 5 mins a day. I am happy to say that my bumps have been gone for a full week and I have not had any new breakouts. Be careful but this worked for me. It took about a month to fully heal, I have a few scars but skin is bump free. It is May 2019. I hope this helps for anyone suffering from this underrated disease.

TIPS

•Always dispose of any tissues, Q-tips, or materials that comes in contact with the bumps

•Wash your hands all the time

•Don’t let the white core ever touch anything on you, that’s the contagious stuff

•Avoid contact with people when bumps are open or irritated

•Try your best to not scratch or pick at them, they will start itching once you realize its molluscum

•Stay hygienic, wash your clothes, bed sheets, and take showers as frequent as possible

•Don’t touch other parts of your body after touching bumps, it can spread
