My dad has gastroenteritis. This is what has happened:

Hey everyone! My dad has had gastroenteritis for quite some time. He's tried many things and can't eat normally. Now, the doctor put him on pantoprazole. He takes it on and off before eating and its been reacting kind of harshly on his stomach. He's been experiencing stomach pain. He is clear of GERD. What do you think is the best solution to this problem and a good cure to his gastroenteritis? I really do appreciate your assistance.
