We took him to a hospital and he got medications that help. In the meantime we sent the xray pictures to a doctor who said he needs a CT scan. We want to make sure it is really needed because we're afraid of corona as he's old, can someone help please?

If your Dad had sharp pains in his chest when breathing he may have cracked a rib. Is that the circled part on the xray? What reason did the doctor give for a CT scan? Perhaps he was just being careful because of your Dads age.
