My Dad Needs Help!

Over the past 4 or 5 years the right side of my dad's body has been shutting down. By this I mean I think the signals being sent from his brain to the right side of his body are weakening. No one has been able to find the cause or even been able to find a way to stop or slow down his deterioration. I am beginning to get worried for his well being. He's at the point now that the muscles on his right side have started to weaken due to his inability to use them. And now his throat is beginning to be affected, it's getting harder for him to even talk to me. I can barely understand him over the phone anymore. Is there anyone who can help?? My dad has never had a stroke either so that is out of the question. My dad is a very out doors kind of person and I would love to get him back on his feet!!

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could look either? Maybe a neurology specialist or something.

Your father is responsible for his own health. He must have noticed the changes you mention and he is either worried and anxious about the situation and trying to ignore it - or he actually knows what is wrong and is not telling you.

You need to talk to him and agree the next step together,

It won't be easy but I wish you both well.

That's a huge assumption, he doesn't know what's wrong with himself and we are all scared trying to figure out what it is.
