My dairy on tapering sertraline

Posted , 3 users are following.

I was on Zoloft (sertraline) for about 6 months, started on 25 mg on the 11 of feb, and started tapering on 28 of may. I hated the side effects so I decided to quit all together also I have been reading books on cbt and how to control my thinking so I feel better not taking the meds at all. Here I will be noting down my everyday feelings and symtops to help people who have decided to stop Zoloft, I am by no means a suggesting you to stop taking your meds, I just feel it’s not right for me and I hate the side effects of feeling spaced out

So I started at 25 mg Zoloft, went up to 75 after 3 months of starting it, and then end of may I decided to taper it, I knew it was not goin to be easy so I started to taper by cutting quarter of my doze every week, also I started taking atleast 4 capsules of fish oil, 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening as it helps with the dizziness, while your brain rewires and also added magnesium citrate and vit b complex, mag helped calm me while vit b gave me that extra boost of positivity. I had my final doze of Zoloft 12 mg on June 17, that’s exactly 11 days ago, today I feel less of the dizziness and the brain zaps almost gone, but my anxiety has increased a bit today, not sure if Mayb I forgot to take my vitamins, coz yesterday I felt fine and was calm at work

How much mg are u taking ?? When I upped my doze to 50 I felt a little spaced out it when I upped it to 75 I felt a unreal feeling and depersonalization I hated it, I guess it’s one of the side effects of sertraline, it may not be the drug for u.
