Hi all as from my previous post, my 8 yr old who was diagnosed with Open angle glaucoma has been on her adopt meds n ganfort. The thing is this has lowered her preasures but she still gets eye pain. The doc said this is due to her eyes being dry n the pain is coming from tiny ulcers inside the eye. Well ulcers is how he describes it. Has any one heard of this before?? I had to take her to the emergency n one of the docs said that i need to discuss it with her own doc who we r seing this thursday. N that he thinks its the meds causing this. Obviously he said she can't stop the meds n i will need to discuss other options with her opthomologist . Any experiences about this plz share thank you

Ask the specialist about the possibility of getting "preservatve free" eyedrops!    I have them - they are less irritating!

Pain could be due the med being used by her. Changing it may be tried in consultation with the opthalmologist. Good luck to young kiddy.
